| Conservation Focus – The Environment Mount Kilimanjaro; Lake Victoria; The Okavango Delta; The Mountains of the Moon – these are just a few of the extraordinary landscapes that you can experience when you go on a photographic safari to Africa. With our tours currently operating in Tanzania, landscape photographers will fall in love with what they encounter in this beautiful country. There truly are an astonishing range of landscapes to behold, and the sheer beauty of the country is enough to leave most people in awe. But unfortunately many of these natural landscapes are under threat. Damaging human activity, harmful industrial practices and irresponsible tourism all have a role to play in the slow destruction of the delicate natural environments of Africa, and it is clear that if we want future generations to carry on enjoying this continent then we are going to have to care for it properly. |

| A Complex Problem The problems are numerous and complex, and they will not disappear overnight. Indeed, conservation of the land is something that will be ongoing for generations and demands a sustained effort in the constant struggle to protect the precious landscape around us. All over Africa the land is under threat: Lake Victoria is losing water rapidly; the Indian Ocean is being over-fished; deforestation plagues the continent; natural habitats for numerous plants and trees are being destroyed. It is up to us to tackle these problems by sharing our knowledge and understanding and through implementing practices that lead to change. Care of the natural environment requires various approaches. It is about the preservation of the natural world, protecting dwindling resources before they run out, and ensuring that the unique biodiversity of a region does not come under threat through harmful practices. It is up to us to do what we can, and that is why our photography safaris are based on a sustainable approach. |

| Working Together for a Better Environment We work with various charities and groups that help to protect the environment for both the people and the animals that inhabit the land. Where the environment is under threat, so too are the animals and the people who rely upon it, and this is why it is so important to protect. We are also careful to minimise our impact on the environment through the implementation of low-impact tourism that is designed to observe rather than interfere, ensuring that we can continue to enjoy all that Africa has to offer at the same time as helping to preserve this beautiful land. Conservation is important for us all, not just for those who live in the affected regions. And for this reason it is the responsibility of us all. There is a deep bond between human beings and the land, and it is this connection, along with the knowledge that a protected environment is better for us all, that drives us to protect it. |

Photography Inspires Change The landscapes of Africa are completely unique, and when you take photographs of the different areas you visit you will enjoy a range of different experiences. But when you go on a photo safari, you won’t just be getting a photography experience – you will be getting a close-up view of this amazing land, helping you to develop your appreciation of it and share that knowledge with others. |
