| Conservation Focus – Wildlife Animals are one of the main reasons that people go to Africa on a photo safari. The thought of getting back and proudly hanging on the wall that photo of a huge elephant bathing in a lake at dawn, or a lion hunting its prey on the plains, is a real draw for all of us. But when you take a picture of an animal in Africa, you are likely to be photographing an endangered creature. The wildlife of Africa is its most valuable asset in many ways. The endangered status of many of these creatures means that they have to be treasured and protected simply in order that our children and grandchildren can enjoy them in the same way that we can. But they are also valuable to local communities because of their draw for tourists, which brings in much needed resources to developing countries. |

| Threatened from All Sides Numerous wild animal species in Africa are under threat. Rhinoceroses are poached for their horns; gorillas, chimps and other primates have to fight for their survival with numbers dwindling across the continent; and even the mighty lion is under threat. With so many threats facing these beautiful creatures, action needs to be taken now to protect them, otherwise we really could soon witness a world without some of the most amazing animals to have ever inhabited it. We want to continue to enjoy these magnificent creatures, but how can expect to if we don’t protect them? It is a tragedy that these animals are endangered in the first place, but there is a lot that we can do to help. Each of us must do our bit if we want to continue to enjoy these animals and take photos of them. |

| Forming Partnerships That is why we have formed partnerships with a number of groups and charities who share a commitment to the wellbeing of animals across Africa. Only by working together can we really help to make a difference, and through sharing our knowledge and resources we can improve wildlife conservation efforts across the continent. |

| Photography and Animal Conservation We may enjoy taking photos of all these wonderful creatures, but through photography we can also help them in other ways. We encourage anyone going on our tours to use the experience as a way to share the knowledge and beauty of the animals that they encounter in Africa, for it is no use just taking photos if we don’t help to do more to protect them. By going on a photography safari with us, you will automatically be helping to support animal conservation efforts in Africa. Your money will help to go to supporting the crucial work that is being done here to preserve different species for the enjoyment of future generations. As well as that, photography goes hand in hand with conservation because it involves capturing the beauty of nature. Through sharing your experiences and your images on your return you will be helping others to understand the beauty to be found here and the importance of animal conservation for us all.
